The bank was using software launched in 2011 before the 10-month implementation.

Banco Safra migrated to S/4 Hana, the latest version of SAP's cloud-based management software, in a project led by Mignow, a company specializing in migration process automation.

The 10-month project was carried out using Rise with SAP, the multinational's initiative to accelerate client migration to the cloud. Previously, the company used SAP's 6.0 EHP5, which was launched in 2011.

The transition covered SAP financial modules, such as FI, responsible for accounting, and technical applications from the German multinational, such as ABAP, which is based on Hana and serves as a development and runtime environment for cloud applications.

The adopted conversion methodology was Brownfield, a hybrid model that implements necessary changes while preserving desired data.

According to Safra, the upgrade was crucial for operational efficiency and preparing the company for future growth. Furthermore, the project provided more advanced analytical features that contributed to greater agility in decision-making.

The bank also highlights that the platform is more modern, enabling real-time analytics and advanced reporting.

Present in 27 countries, Banco Safra belongs to a family that has been active in the financial market for over 180 years.

Operating in both individual and corporate segments, the financial institution has 34,000 employees worldwide, a net worth of R$ 16 billion, total assets of R$ 268 billion, and R$ 31 billion in funds raised and managed.

Founded in 2019, Mignow claims an annual growth of 300%. Its clients include names like XP, GPA, Localiza, Piracanjuba, Assaí, Pague Menos, Locaweb, and Nike.
