Unveiling Challenges and Opportunities: Mignow's S/4HANA Migration Survey Reveals Knowledge Gaps and Highlights the Urgency of Transitioning to SAP's Future.

A pioneering market survey conducted by Mignow, a specialist in updating SAP, revealed a significant knowledge gap among SAP users and the imminent need to migrate to S/4HANA by 2027. SAP is widely adopted by large enterprises to optimize internal process management and strategic decision-making, being used by approximately 98% of the world's most valuable companies.

The survey results, released during the SAP Sapphire 2023 event in São Paulo, demonstrated that SAP plays a fundamental role across various sectors, with impressive figures such as 78% of food companies, 82% of medical resource companies, and 77% of global transactions passing through SAP systems.

Mignow, founded with the goal of bridging the information gap regarding SAP migration, identified two main issues: a lack of information on the subject and the imminent end of support for SAP ECC in 2027. Paulo Secco, CEO and founder of Mignow, emphasizes that a lack of knowledge can result in additional costs for companies that do not migrate to S/4HANA in time.

The data revealed that 35.3% of SAP users do not understand the benefits of migration, while 41.1% lack clarity on the costs involved. Furthermore, only 33.3% of executives responsible for approving investments within organizations are aware of the need for migration.

Paulo Secco highlights the importance of disseminating information about the migration process and its benefits. He points out that the survey provided valuable insights for the market, enabling IT leaders to make more informed and strategic decisions.

The survey also addressed organizations' concerns regarding the duration of the migration and the areas that will not be affected by the migration (the so-called "Z's"). The migration duration varies according to the organization's size and data volume, while the Z areas remain unchanged.

Mignow highlights that migrating to S/4HANA offers numerous benefits, including continued digital transformation and increased market competitiveness. New functionalities, such as Fiori and SAP Learning Hub, improve usability and boost user productivity.

Paulo Secco emphasizes that in a constantly evolving technology market, information dissemination plays a crucial role in preparing companies for the future.
