AMAGGI accelerates its digital transformation with strategic partnership with Mignow and AWS technology
The company invests in an innovative project and migrates its infrastructure to the cloud, revolutionizing its operations with the latest version of SAP. Get to know Mignow and do as Amaggi did.
AMAGGI, one of the largest agribusiness companies in Latin America, took a strategic step towards innovation by migrating its SAP ECC system to SAP S/4HANA. With a highly integrated operation and around 6 TB of data, the company needed a secure, efficient and scalable solution to support its growth and the challenges of tax reform.
The project was led by Mignow in partnership with AWS, using the model Brownfield with RISE with SAP. Mignow's solution, based on Artificial Intelligence, automated 99% of custom code conversion, fixing over 26 thousand objects automatically, leaving only 267 for manual correction and ensuring a safe journey, with low risk and duration of only 6.4 months, a very competitive deadline given the complexity of the environment.
"We were motivated by the company's need for growth. We needed a modern tool that would support business growth and meet the new challenges of tax reform, which will have a major impact on agribusiness companies.", account Wagner Biasi, CIO of AMAGGI, at an event promoted by SAP itself and in partnership with Mignow, the SAP Business Campus.
Security, stability and innovation at the heart of the strategy
The choice of the cloud environment and the RISE framework was not just technical. It reflected real concerns about stability, security and business continuity.
"Rise is a much safer environment, few people talk about it, but this issue was one of the main motivators for choosing the cloud project, in addition to being a much more stable product than ECC.”, comments the executive.
A decisive factor in the adoption of RISE with SAP was the choice of hyperscaler, in the case of AMAGGI, AWS. For Paulo Secco, CEO of Mignow, “Partnering with AWS enables us to deliver unparalleled migration solutions by combining our AI expertise with the reliability and scalability of AWS cloud services.”.
AWS is a pioneer in offering cloud solutions for SAP systems, bringing innovation to the market, especially when expanding its operations in Latin America. In this sense, the partnership between Mignow and AWS was decisive for the success of AMAGGI’s migration project. “This collaboration has brought us numerous commercial and technical benefits, allowing us to optimize our processes and improve operational efficiency. With Mignow’s automated and innovative SAP conversion combined with AWS’s advanced infrastructure, we have been able to accelerate our digital transformation, reduce costs and increase agility in our operations. This strategic alliance gives us a significant competitive advantage in the market, in addition to helping us offer a superior quality service to our customers”, said Wagner Biasi – CIO Amaggi.
Technical challenges
In the end, the combination of Mignow's platform, AWS's infrastructure and AMAGGI's strategic vision resulted in an efficient, safe delivery with positive effects that are already noticeable in the day-to-day operations.
"This collaboration has brought us numerous commercial and technical benefits […] it is a strategic alliance that gives us a significant competitive advantage in the market”, concludes Wagner Biasi.
Among the SAP modules involved in the project were FI, AA, CO, CM, LES-TRA, SD, MM, PP, PM, QM, HR and REBATE (MM/SD), essential areas for the functioning of AMAGGI's agricultural, industrial and logistics operations.
"When we combine automation, cloud and strategy, we can transform not only systems, but also the pace of innovation in companies. AMAGGI is an excellent example of how technology can drive agribusiness in a concrete and scalable way.”, highlights William Joventino, COO of Mignow.futures and explore new possibilities in our business”, reinforced Carisa Portela, CFO of Eternit, in an interview with IT Inside.
