Eternit, one of the leading players in the construction industry in Brazil, has just completed its conversion journey to SAP S/4HANA with a robust, automated and highly complex project. The migration involved the collaboration of Seidor, Mignow — a leader in SAP conversion automation — and AWS, which provided the cloud infrastructure to provide security, scale and performance for the transition.

It was an 11-month project, with more than 2,000 customized objects reviewed, with a rate of automation of 92.71%, which ensured more speed and less rework. Eternit operates with a SAP base of 2TB, and is now officially ready for the future.

A migration that goes beyond technical aspects

The change to SAP S/4HANA was not just about updating the system, it is part of a larger strategic movement, as highlighted by Eternit's Head of IT, Luciano Santana, in an interview with ERP Portal:

“This migration is essential for our digital transformation, enabling greater efficiency in data analysis and process optimization. With this, we hope to reduce costs and open up new opportunities for innovation and growth.”

This view is also shared by Mignow. “The most important thing is that Eternit understood that migration is just the beginning,” he says. William Joventino, COO of Mignow. “Now they can unlock the full potential of S/4HANA with more data, more control and more innovation.”

For Rodrigo Brunetti, Delivery Executive at Mignow, this project reinforces the company’s experience in conducting complex transformations with excellence. “The completion of the migration on time, with more than 90% of automation, confirms the company’s commitment to solid, secure and scalable deliveries.”

The importance and advantages of Rise with SAP

With a large base, lean team and strong demand for operational continuity, the choice of Mignow and AWS proved to be the right one. Mignow's automation reduced manual effort, and AWS's infrastructure ensured the resilience and agility needed for a smooth go-live.

“We know that transforming a SAP legacy is not just about technology, it is about people, quick decisions and accurate partnerships”, he comments. Paulo Secco, CEO of Mignow.

In this sense, Eternit's choice to invest in a Rise With SAP project reinforces the company's commitment to innovation, and facilitates the company's path on its clean core journey.
